***HISTORY
FECO embraces organizations representing professional and semi-professional cartoonists throughout Europe and the rest of the world. In the Netherlands the affiliated organization is the Dutch Cartoon Association " De Tulp " (FECO-Holland ).
FECO exists to encourage goodwill and the dissemination of informing throughout the universe regardingthe art of cartoon.
The President-General of FECO is chosen from the Presidents serving the three founder membercountries, the Netherlands the United Kingdom and Belgium.
The idea of FECO was first discussed during the summer of 1983 and the inaugural FECO Council Meeting held in 1985, when Peter Nieuwendijk of the Netherlands became the first FECO President General.
